Heathrow Express is the fastest way to get from Heathrow to central London. Our trains take just 15 minutes from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 to Paddington— and run every 15 minutes. Fundamentally the Mobile Sales Advisor (MSA) role is to support the business priority of delivering growth through the sale of Heathrow Express tickets. Securing existing custom and generating opportunities to capture new revenue is of paramount importance. So we are seeking to find experienced sales professionals with proven track records, results and expertise in both sales and the delivery of optimum levels of customer care.

Whilst assisting our customer facing teams in delivering exemplary service to Heathrow Express customers you will work in our stations at Heathrow and Paddington, on-board trains and within the Airport environment so the role will be varied, dynamic and challenging. You will need to demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic and flexible approach to your duties, offering our customers a safe, easy and exemplary service every time.

We are keen to recruit reliable, self-motivated and proactive customer facing sales experts to help “wow” and “delight” our customers throughout their entire experience with us and importantly keep them safe, happy, informed and inspired to return. Confidence to engage and interact with customers whilst exhibiting a genuine passion and pride for the role will be essential and an emphasis should be placed upon driving quality, performance and productivity.

Selling tickets and providing accurate information will be key to enable customers to make a well informed travel decision. You will need to be fully attentive to customer needs with notable expertise in attracting new business and the ability to consistently convert enquiries into sales.

In addition to other duties you will be accountable for working in remote Landside and Airside selling points and will be expected to maintain these areas keeping them clean, safe and functional.

Successful candidates will work on a shift basis and will have superlative selling skills with an in depth knowledge and understanding of the selling through service framework, and other associated sales models. Applicants will need to showcase their ability to secure consistently high upsell and conversion rates.  

You will also require excellent communication and interpersonal qualities and a good level of numeracy and literacy aptitude. Given our diverse customer base, proficiency in European languages would be an advantage.

This is a challenging position that involves periods of lone working and the requirement to stand for long periods at a time and you must be capable of moderate physical activity, be medically fit and meet accepted standards which will be tested during a medical.

Due to this role being within an Airport environment you will be asked to provide references for the last five years from your current or past employers, university, college or school and will need to account for any gaps of 2 weeks or more including if you were out of work or on an extended holiday you will also be required to complete a Criminal Record Check and receive clearance from Disclosure Scotland following this background check.
