An opportunity has arisen to join the Heathrow Express Commercial Team as Senior Sales Manager for a 9 month secondment.

Overall Role Purpose:

The delivery of sales and journey targets for the HEX turn up and go (TUAG) sales channel. The role will act as the sales manager for this £86m channel.

Primary Focus of the Role

Manage the frontline Sales population through a period of change and provide sales training and coaching and development to the Customer Hosts, and others, who work at stations and on board trains.

5 direct reports.

Principle accountabilities

  • TUAG is 80% of Hex revenue. This role is responsible for the delivery of this target
  • Working with HEX and HAL Commercial and operations colleagues to design, test, deliver and analyse sales initiatives to achieve the Commercial targets on revenue and journeys
  • Work with HEx pricing team to deliver variable pricing to grow journeys and revenue in of peak periods and increase train utilisation.
  • Design, launch and analyse success of employee reward schemes such as commission, bonus and competition schemes to improve sales and selling through service culture
  • Drive growth on Hex mode share which supports sustainable HAL
  • Deliver the first and last impression and work on improving service scores – through Plane2Platform, Sales Teams and TUG sales teams – welcome and ‘wave off’ HAL passengers
  • Management of incentive scheme to encompass and replace all elements of current reward i.e. EBITDA– both team and individual
  • Building effective relationships within the Heathrow community and the wider business
  • Design and delivery of a HAL aligned sales program to all TUG channels, focusing on sales performance and embedding culture
