Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the Heathrow Express Operations Team as a GWR Contracts Manager.

 

Overall Purpose of the role .

  • Accountable for ensuring that the specified Hex service is delivered through the contract with GWR.
  • Ensure the quality of the service is maintained with clear audits and quality reviews
  • Resolve any contract issues with GWR in the best interests of HEOC and HAL

 

Technical Aspects of the role

  • Thorough understanding of GWR/HEX operations contract
  • Timetabling awareness
  • Capacity to work effectively with others with competing objectives
  • Understanding of contract arrangements as applicable

 

Top 6 Responsibilities

  • Represent Heathrow Express at relevant meetings with HAL Rail, GWR, Network Rail to ensure the service is delivered to a high specification.
  • Provide quality audit controls to ensure contract obligations are met by GWR
  • Lead contractual discussions on behalf of HEOC with GWR team delivering the Hex service on any changes or issues.
  • Take part as Hex representative in contract review process as necessary during the life of the contract.
  • Work with GWR team on any improvements to the contract including cost reduction initiatives ensuring HEOCs interests are maintained and anu cost reductions benefit the service and HEOC's financial position
  • Support the Route Access Manager in dealing with access related matters with GWR team

Additional Information about the role

 

  • Occasional requirement for out of hours working in the event of service disruption
  • The role holder may be required to work outside their immediate role scope, if required.
  • The role holder will be required to travel to all Heathrow Express locations.
  • Flexibility required to attend meetings and functions out of normal working hours at other locations with both internal and external customers.
