We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of sales revenue for Heathrow Express. The Business Development Manager role will work closely with the Business Development team to build a pipeline of new opportunities and to ensure account plans, forecasts, activity plans & Customer Relations Marketing information are up to date and accurate to drive incremental revenue through the B2B channel. They will champion effective relationships with external partners and all internal interfaces, with, Digital, Technology, Marketing and Customer Relations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for actively sourcing new business opportunities through our B2B partners and managing a range of customer accounts with a view to increasing their sales through developing strategies to retain and grow business in alignment with the overall Commercial Team strategy to deliver the company’s commercial growth.
  • Supporting the development of product solutions to support customers’ needs and the needs of the business whilst also being accountable for your own revenue target and key performance indicators.
  • Managing the day-to-day relationship of all accounts and assume an ambassadorial role for each account on behalf of all areas of the business.
  • Administering the set-up of new accounts and drive the transition of existing small accounts (when relevant) to a third-party supplier.
  • Drive growth by capitalising on the areas of priority as set out by the Sales & Distribution Strategy and the high-level segmentation work.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience of managing accounts within the travel industry with the ability to communicate with and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Experience of working within a challenging environment and being able to demonstrate resourcefulness, agility and personal management.
  • Be confident in interacting with internal stakeholder and external customers at various levels within organisation
  • Excellent communications reasoning skills including verbal, numerical and written and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work on own initiative, plan and organise own work, and work to deadlines.
